Welcome, new member Barb Kitto

Welcome Barb as a member to the Club, it was certainly the highlight of the meeting and I am sure we all look forward to the times yet to come.  It was certainly appropriate as this month is Rotary International’s Membership and New Club Development Month.

Our first Bunning’s sausage sizzle post Covid-19 was certainly different and thank you, Colin and Gail, for once more organising the day.  It’s a chore that more often than not goes unrecognised.  It was extremely pleasing to see PP and Honorary Member Alan Morecombe and Honorary Member Patricia Robertson lending a helping hand.

Arranging for guest speakers continues to keep Ian and Jacquie busy and I do believe that we only have one meeting in September that does not, as yet, have a guest speaker. Incidentally, when was the last time that you visited our Facebook page?  Please have a look on a regular basis as it is continually updated.

It was with regret that we heard that Monday night was to be Rod’s last occasion as one of the team of regular Fine Masters, a job he has performed extremely well and given us light hearted moments of banter while extracted the all important dollar.  He has put the challenge out for one of our lady members to take his place – any takers?

Finally, thank you for attending on Monday on what was a cold, rainy and blustery night, certainly not for the fainthearted to be out and about.
